I like the deal, JR is outta here at the end of the season anyway.

I see this deal as nothing more than saving a few million.  It might have helped several years ago, but this is a total non-deal.  More symbol than substance.

Well, it's not angry-making.  Not at all.  It's just nothing.  The best part of it is the savings I guess.

I don't see the deal as really hurting or helping, this team is dead for the last 2 months either way, get some different bodys in and let JR have a shot with a real contender.

Frankly, I'm surprised the White Sox want him. I love what the guy has been, but he was an ever-increasing problem to the Reds. I'm surprised it wasn't a PTBNL and some no-name AA guy in December.

Makes it a clean break for the Reds too. There is enough wailing and gnashing of teeth about other things, this one less wail and gnash.
