My educated guess, from what still works and what doesn't, is that the user table is seriously corrupt. What's making me concerned is, if that's all it was and they had a good recent backup, it wouldn't have taken nearly this long to restore it. Which means either there's a bigger problem with the database server itself, or they don't have usable backups. The former is a serious but temporary problem; the latter.... ugh. Let's hope they haven't permanently lost the user data, that's going to be a lot of work to recreate.

It looks like only people who have been registered since 2000 are showing as logged in, everyone else appears to have been flushed.

I just got back in!  WOOHOO!

But looks like everything since 1.5.09 was deleted. Bummer.
