I wish the Reds could switch positions with the Cardinals.  The way things are right now the Cards have this thing in the bag and Reds fans can only watch on in horror.

Harang's always been a loser even when he was healthy (which was rare). He and Dunn (and the Banana Man) really symbolize a lost decade. Good job by our old friend Todd Coffey today too.

6 games.  The noose tightens.  Nah, the Reds didn't need another starter.

Anyone having visions of a collapse (Cards destroying Milwaukee, Reds' starter can't get out of the third)?  Plenty of time for a collapse.  If any team is poised to bounce back it's the Cards; if any team is poised to go on a San Diego-esque collapse it's the Reds.  Stay tuned.

Personally I love John Roberts.  Alito is awesome.  Scalia is a genius....and Clarence...genius also.   I would have to say that most people on the Supreme court are.  I just don't agree with everything they do.

Yeah corporations are people too. That's some deep thinking, not to mention respect for the concept or Stare Decisis. They may be genius, well Roberts maybe and Scalia for sure... but they're certainly not very interested in the constitution. Talk about "judicial activism".

Clarance Thomas a genius? How would you know? He never says anything and has virtually no writings from the bench. They might as well have a sock puppet with a tape recorder in that says "what Scalia said"

Dude, I've seen you, and many on the far left, live by this premise consistently. The intent is not if it's true or not; but can I influence enough and get it to stick...... Obama is a socialist, the Tea Party is racist, etc.

This is the GAC method of argument: When he is shown to have made a false statement, his mo is: "I know I am but so are you."

OK, "Dude", I'll let you off the hook and I'll bite: When have I "lived by this premise consistently" (sic)?

The issue is your claim that
"Yep. It was her campaign that released the pic of Obama in Muslim garb". Its not up to me to disprove a statement you made, its up to you to prove it. All I can do is show that Clinton denied the claim, that Obama accepted her denial, and that Druge never produced the email that he allegedly based his story on. I can also show that not even Druge claimed that the "Clinton Campaign" released the picture. I can't do any better than that.

And your whole rebuttal, or that Drudge is a liar, is based solely on taking Hillary by her word. Pretty convenient, naive, and in the minority when it comes to Clinton.

They make a statement and hope no one confronts them on the statement. If they are confronted, their position is  "prove its not true."

Ah, the Ralph Nader argument. "They're all the same."

You like that John Roberts? How has that Alito thing working out for you? Scalia is a genius isn't he? Clarence Thomas, too.

Had Gore won, we wouldn't have been in Iraq.....had Reagan not won we wouldnt have deregulated the financial industry.

Just stop it with the Nany Pelosi plays golf with Newt Gingrich baloney, will you? Smile

One year ago, the Reds were getting used to Rolen in the lineup and were playing great ball. They had won 7 in a row including a sweep of Atlanta on the road. A .500 finish seemed a possibility. Then they went into Colorado and got swept. 0-4.

This series is not going to be easy. I'd sign for a split right now.

Right now all the pressure is on the Reds.  They've fully lodged themselves between a 7 game lead and a hard place.  Time will tell whether they can rebound from today's loss or if they'll roll over and watch as the Cardinals take advantage of their great position (only 7 games back) and breeze into the post season.  Sadly it looks like the Cards are the favorite for the central, again.
